Did you know that you can fully customize the layout of Launchpad? Not only change the placement of icons, but you can also change the number of rows and columns. Use the following commands in OS X Terminal.

Launchpad: Change the level of background blur

Launchpad uses a blurred version of your Desktop image as its background. Using cmd + option + ctrl + B while in Launchpad cycles through the original image, the blurred one, a black and white version and a blurred black and white version.

Disable launchpad fade effects
